Dr. Karthik S is a Senior Consultant Minimal Access, Gastro Intestinal, Bariatric and AWR Surgeon at Apollo Specialty Hospital, Jayanagar, Bangalore. He graduated from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences , Bangalore. He completed his post graduation in General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. He has been awarded Fellowship (FNB) in Minimal Access Surgery by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. Prior to Apollo Hospital, he has worked in many Tertiary Care Hospitals in Bangalore. He has more than 10 years of experience.

Dr. Karthik  has a special interest in Complex Hernia procedures and Minimally Invasive gastro intestinal procedures. His area of expertise is Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Procedures(AWR), Bariatric surgery, and advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery. He has performed more than 5000 Basic and Advanced Laparoscopic Procedures and also has experience in LASER proctology. He has published and presented many articles related to Minimal Access Surgery in Indexed Journals and in various National Conferences and is a National Board Certified Minimal Access Surgeon and a reputed member of the Medical Council of India.
