How is sickle cell anemia transferred?
Sickle cell anemia cannot be passed on from one person to the other. It is not contagious. It can be only passed on from parents to children by birth.

People with sickle cell anemia can lower their chances of difficulties from the disease and enjoy many normal activities by getting regular checkups with their doctor and preventing infections by taking simple steps including frequent handwashing, eating healthy meals and exercising moderately.
Sickle cell carrier are people those who inherit sickle cell gene and one normal gene. They usually pass on their sickle cell gene to their baby. This passing on makes them a sickle cell carrier.
The five prominent symptoms are the sickle cells die easily, vision problems, pain crisis, swelling in hands and feet and delayed growth especially during puberty.
Both are diffrent while leukemia is a type of cancer which involves uncontrolled cell division. On the contrary, sickle cell is an abnormality in red blood cells. (due to lack of red blood cells).
One is recommended to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and pair them with whole grains, and protein foods (such as eggs, fish, chicken, meats, beans or tofu and nuts or seeds). Additionally focus on calcium-rich foods and beverages such as milk, yogurt, and cheese
