People who have sickle cell anemia inherit two faulty hemoglobin genes, called hemoglobin S, one from each parent. A person has sickle cell trait when the hemoglobin S gene is inherited from only one parent and a normal hemoglobin gene hemoglobin A, is inherited from the other.
Sickle cell trait is not a type, it is a cell disease. It is an inherited condition in which both hemoglobin A and S are produced in the red blood cells..
Both are diffrent while leukemia is a type of cancer which involves uncontrolled cell division. On the contrary, sickle cell is an abnormality in red blood cells. (due to lack of red blood cells).
Sickle cell carrier are people those who inherit sickle cell gene and one normal gene. They usually pass on their sickle cell gene to their baby. This passing on makes them a sickle cell carrier.
A group of disorders that cause red blood cells to become misshapen and break down.
