First and foremost the doctors recommend liver function tests. If the test results are worrisome then they might recommend you to undergo a CT or MRI.
If your SGPT levels are more significant than 2000 then it can be indicative of conditions such as hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, inflammation, etc.Consult with a doctor at the earliest.
You might also have a blood test to look at the level of a chemical called alpha fetoprotein (AFP). This might be higher than normal in some types of liver cancer.
Tuberculosis can affect the liver in three forms. The most common form is diffuse hepatic involvement, seen along with pulmonary or miliary tuberculosis. The second is granulomatous hepatitis and the third, a much rarer form presents as focal/local tuberculoma or abscess.
Get a liver function test done to detect liver problems early.
