A serum vitamin B12 level between 200 pg/mL and 900 pg/mL is considered normal, however, values ranging between 300 to 350 pg/mL is recognised as a marker for a desirable status in the elderly.
One can suspect of having vitamin B 12 deficiency if you are constantly feeling lethargic and having nausea along with stomach upset.
This is not yet known but vitamin B12 does contain cobalt so it can have slight paramagnetic properties.
If your B 12 levels are too high then you may be suffering from hematologic disorders like chronic myelogeneous leukemia, promyelocytic leukemia, polycythemia vera. To know the exact cause contact your doctor and do not ignore high levels of B12 as it can be life-threatening.
