A fasting level of 30 mU/mL indicates greater insulin resistance in a diabetic individual than in a normal patient without insulin resistance.
Fasting for at least 16 hours gives the body a chance to rest and allows blood levels of insulin to drop significantly. Not only does this help burn fat, it can also lower your risk of disease, particularly cancers, diabetes and prediabetes
Insulin causes decrease in blood sugar leading to loss of consciousness and sometimes convulsions too, when used for reasons other than treating Diabetes where sugar levels are high to start with.
Doctors use the fasting plasma glucose (FPG) test or the A1C test to diagnose prediabetes. Less often, doctors use the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), which is more expensive and not as easy to give. The A1C test reflects your average blood glucose over the past 3 months.
The strongest evidence suggests that type 2 diabetes is mainly put into remission by weight loss. Hence, weight loss can affect diabetes management, however, it will happen in due course of time. One cannot achieve complete results in one month.
