A blood glucose level 200mg/dl or more is high and should be shown to a doctor immediately so that it does not affect the growing fetus.
Avoid eating high sugar foods and drinks a night before the test for sugar not to spike and one gets a normal glucose test.
High blood glucose levels during pregnancy can also increase the chance that your baby will be born too early, weigh too much, or have breathing problems or low blood glucose right after birth. It can also induce still births in pregnant woman. Hence, speak with a doctor if glucose is high.
Get the test done and if your fasting levels are more than 140mg/dl then consult with a diabetologist
