Weight loss can remove fat from pancreas and liver. This can help reverse prediabetes and diabetes to an extent.
Diabetics lose weight as there is no insulin available to move glucose into the body's cells, glucose builds up in the bloodstream. The kidneys then work to remove this unused sugar through urination. The sugar is not used as energy, so the body starts burning fat and muscle for energy, resulting in weight loss
If your fasting levels are 100mg/dl or less then you are normal. If they are more than 100-125mg/dl then you fall into prediabetes. If they are more than 140mg/dl then you fall under the diabetic zone.
A large waist size and being overweight are few main causes of diabetes
Yes type 2 diabetes may cause unexplained weight loss.
