A blood test is a lab analysis of your health. You may have blood tests to keep track of how well you are managing a condition such as diabetes or high cholesterol. You may also have them for routine checkups or when you are ill.

Neurological disease such as stroke, motor neurone disease, Alzheimer's and multiple sclerosis aren't diagnosable from blood tests. Similarly, the diagnoses of depression, schizophrenia, ADHD and autism lack a specific blood diagnostic marker.
If the values are unexpected then they need to be repeated
